Bright yellow flowers of a Golden Penda tree in a suburban garden. Note the fruit fly near the top. Prolific nectar production attracts a variety of honeyeaters (Meliphagidae) and lorikeets (Psittacidae).  //  Golden Penda tree Myrtaceae: Xanthostemon chrysanthus.  Height to 40m, canopy to 20m in the wild; height 12m in cultivation; flowers in summer and autumn. Found in the wild in rainforests along the eastern shores of Cape York in Australia.  //
