A juvenile Australian Eastern Water Dragon on the lookout for food.  //  Eastern Water Dragon - Agamidae: Physignathus leseuerii. Length to 23cm plus tail 55cm. This individual is in its second year. Common in freshwater creeks and rivers of eastern Australia from south-east South Australia to Queensland. Adept at climbing and swimming. Often bathes with just the head above water. Males assume a prominent crest and a bright deep red colour on the underparts during the breeding season. Often seen in urban and suburban waterways where relatively tame. Common  //Eric Lindgren//
