Colourful Rainbow Lorikeet plumage - Breast feathers of an Australia Rainbow Lorikeet show the gawdy colours that give the species its name.  // Rainbow Lorikeet - Length to 30cm; Many subspecies occur on islands and mainland from Indonesia eastwards into the south-west Pacific as far as Vanuatu and New Caledonia. In Australia - widespread in savannah woodland from the Kimberley region in north-west Western Australia along the coastal areas to eastern South Australia.
